MU increasingly depends on Bruno Fernandes

It is hard to remember the last time Manchester United had to depend on someone to win. However, many players still play an important role in that campaign. They create a solid defense and help the home team receive the second least number of goals after 38 rounds.

At the beginning of the Premier League era, MU had legendary Eric Cantona. However, it is difficult for the French star to create a splendid victory at the club without the support from Ryan Giggs, Paul Ince, and Roy Keane.

Manchester United is a great club and has never placed all expectations on any individual. However, this is exactly what fans see in the 2020/21 season. Man United lacked creativity until Bruno Fernandes joined the club in January.

In the 2019/20 season, MU’s victory rate in all competitions increased by 9 percent. And the loss rate decreased by 15 percent in Fernandes main matches.

Fernandes continued to shine as he contributed a double to a 4-1 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir in the fourth series of Champions League. According to statistics, the former Sporting Lisbon star directly participated in 34 goals after 35 matches for MU. In which the 26-year-old midfielder scored 21 goals and had 13 assists.

Fernandes is sublimating, becoming the fulcrum for the Manchester City representative. The statistics don’t lie. In the Premier League, Fernandes tops the scoring list of MU. He outperformed his teammates in finishing statistics, passing accuracy, tackling the ball as well as second in the number of fouled.

Fernandes, however, is different from Grealish. The English midfielder has a superior level compared to the rest of the club. Therefore, Aston Villa was forced to turn Grealish into the nucleus of the game.

They used to pay record amounts to have Harry Maguire, Paul Pogba, these two players still playing for the Old Trafford team. However, this duo has not brought the trust of Fernandes.
